• To earn a phlebotomy certification through the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians, you’ll need to meet the following eligibility requirements:
• One full year as a part-time phlebotomist or six months as a full-time phlebotomist
• Alternatively, you may produce a letter from your health care supervisor verifying that part of your job involves procuring blood samples frequently
• The successful completion of an accredited training program in phlebotomy with at least 100 documented venipunctures and 5 documented skin punctures – all completed successfully—is a must.
•  A current ASPT membership

Provisional certificates may also be awarded when coordinated through special arrangements by school programs.

Our exam fees are only $55, plus membership fees, making these services affordable to everyone. Even if you are a member of other organizations, ASPT welcomes all health providers to its ranks.
